How it works
An IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) has 4 letters for the bank, a zero, and 6 characters for the branch. The lookup uses Razorpay’s public IFSC API, which is based on data published by the Reserve Bank of India. Only the IFSC code is sent.
Features

Privacy and file handling
- Where it runs
- Runs in your browser + public lookup service
- Third party
- The Razorpay IFSC API (ifsc.razorpay.com)
Runs in your browser. Only the value you look up is sent to the Razorpay IFSC API (ifsc.razorpay.com); nothing else leaves your device.
Limitations
- Branch details come from public RBI-based data and may lag recent branch changes — confirm with your bank before large transfers.
