This page lists the cookies and browser storage that FreeToolConvert uses and how to control them.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
freetoolconvert-session | Keeps you signed in and remembers which server conversions belong to you. | Session / 120 minutes of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
remember_web_* | Only if you tick “Remember me” when signing in. | Up to 400 days |
Browser storage (stays on your device)
Some tools save preferences or your work in your browser’s local storage. This data is never sent to us.
| Key | Used by |
|---|---|
ftc-theme | Your light/dark theme choice |
ftc-recent-tools | The “Recent” list of tools you opened |
ftc-notepad | Online Notepad autosave |
ftc-resume-v1 | Resume Generator autosave |
ftc-ifsc-recent | Recent IFSC lookups |
You can clear these at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Analytics cookies (only if enabled)
If we enable Google Analytics, it sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to count visits and understand how the site is used. We configure it not to receive file names or file contents.
Advertising cookies (only if enabled)
If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Controlling cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in and server conversions from working; browser-only tools will still work.
