How accurate are the conversions?
Each converter uses internationally defined factors — for example, 1 inch is exactly 2.54 cm and 1 pound exactly 0.45359237 kg — and shows the formula used, so you can check the working. Choose from 2 to 8 decimal places, or open “All units” to see a value in every unit at once.
A note on Indian land units
Units such as bigha, biswa and ground have different sizes in different states, so we don’t include them rather than risk a wrong answer. Guntha, cent, marla and kanal are included with their commonly used values, which each unit’s label states.
