Frequently asked questions
How many square feet are in a guntha?
1,089 sq ft (1/40 of an acre), as used in Maharashtra, Karnataka and nearby states.
Why isn’t bigha included?
A bigha’s size differs widely between states (and sometimes districts). Using one value would give wrong results for many people.
How do I convert sq ft to sq m?
Divide by 10.764, or multiply by 0.0929.
